Mechanical engineering students receive Best Verbal Presentation Award




Congratulations to engineering students Alexander Benvenuto, Sarah McLeod and Joseph Fossity for their success at the ASME Additive Manufacturing + 3D Printing Conference & Expo (AM3D), which was held from August 2 to August 5 in Boston, Massachussetts. The students received the Best Verbal Presentation Award for their entry, "Efficient Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Blades." Their design of an innovative blade is inspired by a whale fin. The students received a $1,500 travel award and a $2,000 cash award. The faculty advisor will receive a $1,000 award.
