See how Clare spent her time in Rome.

A world away from campus, while keeping pace with your academic progress.

Temple engineering students have and exciting opportunity to take a semester abroad in Rome, Italy. Sophomore Mechanical and Civil Engineering majors study at the Temple Rome campus, with access to cultural activities and organized outings, located just north of Piazza del Popolo — a short distance from the Spanish steps.

This unique study abroad program allows you to take the same classes in Rome as you would on main campus — three engineering classes — plus Italian I. While many schools offer study away experiences, most only deliver general education classes. Temple’s College of Engineering is one of the few able to offer engineering coursework so that you won't miss a beat in the demanding engineering curriculum. Also, since the Rome campus is part of Temple University, your courses are seamlessly counted towards your GPA. There are no issues with tuition, transferring coursework or administration, or disruption to your financing. You can study abroad and still "fly in 4." This will be just another semester at Temple, but of course it will be anything but ordinary.
