Victor Kernus (ENG, 96), partner with Cantor Colburn LLP in Washington, DC, will deliver the alumni commencement address during the College of Engineering fall commencement ceremony. He will be joined by Jezreel Konstantinos, a candidate to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, who will deliver the student address.

Since earning his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering (cum laude) from Temple University, Mr. Kernus has practiced as a mechanical engineer with the Aircrew Systems department of NAVAIR. Mr. Kernus managed the Horizontal Accelerator Facility and worked on many projects that led to advancements in aviation technology and safety systems. 

Following his time at NAVAIR, Mr. Kernus has worked as a patent attorney, currently concentrating on mechanical, electrical, and medical technologies. Mr. Kernus led a senior design team advised by current College of Engineering Dean Keya Sadeghipour.

Mr. Kernus is also an active volunteer with Project Healing Waters, and has volunteered his time weekly to teach fly tying to disabled veterans for more than seven years as a fly fishing guide and mentor.

The College of Engineering commencement ceremony will take place on December 18, 2:00 PM, at Temple Performing Arts Center.
