Spring is about transformation, something Temple Engineering students and faculty know very well. At 12th and Norris, you can find ways to impact the world by evolving as engineers and as people. As we enter this new semester, our building also continues its own transformation.

The College of Engineering is pleased to begin the second phase of the renovations to the second-floor Science and Engineering Library (SEL). View this short video to get an idea of what is planned for the new space. Watch for more interesting updates from some of our student professional organizations in behind-the-scenes tours of the construction and engineering as it progresses. Groups like IEEE will be conducting video interviews with the professionals helping to deliver the new space. In addition, a teaching lab space in room 502 is also nearing completion following significant renovations. Upgrades include added seating capacity alongside smart teaching technology, chemical-resistant flooring and work tops and more.

These projects are just a few of the exciting transformations planned for in 2019. From Engineers Week, the upcoming Career Fair, Senior Design and the ultimate mark of transformation at graduation, the coming semester has much to look forward to. We hope you have a productive and rewarding semester and continue to make us all proud!

All the best,

Keya Sadeghipour
Dean of the College of Engineering
