Ron Kerins, Jr. (ENG, 84), CCM, LEED-AP, MBA, will soon add another line to his already-impressive resume: commencement speaker.

Since earning his BS in both Civil & Construction Engineering and Architecture from Temple College of Engineering in 1984, Kerins has spent more than three decades building a career in construction while also staying connected to his alma mater. He is currently a Principal of GREYHAWK, an international construction management consulting firm.

He is a past director of the Temple University Alumni Board, serves in emeritus status for the Temple College of Engineering Alumni Board and sits on the Industrial Advisory Board and Board of Visitors. He's also been recognized by the college for his service, both with a Certificate of Honor in 2006 and his induction into the Temple University Gallery of Success in 2012.

"Ron is a great example of how Temple engineering students can apply what they've learned in the classroom for a successful career, while also staying connected to the college," added Jon Knorr, Assistant Dean of Development. "We're looking forward to hearing Ron sharing his story at commencement."

Mr. Kerins' expertise is in representing owners as a construction consultant in the areas of Project and Program Management, Value Engineering, Contracts and Administration, Cost Control, Scheduling, and Construction Claims. He is a Certified Construction Manager [CCM] as conveyed by the Construction Management Certification Institute [CMCI].  Kerins has served as a director on the national board of CMAA, and is a LEED Accredited Professional as conveyed by the United States Green Building Council, and serves as Vice-Chair of the ACE Mentor Program of Eastern Pennsylvania Board of Directors.

Temple College of Engineering winter commencement will take place on December 19, 2018.
