Dr. Jamie Bracey was named one of 12 'change agents' by the Philadelphia Business Journal recently, joining a list that includes university presidents, a member of Philadelphia City Council and other regional leaders in education.

Dr. Bracey is the Director of the Center for Inclusive Competitiveness and Director of STEM Education, Outreach & Research at Temple College of Engineering.  Launched in 2017, the CIC seeks to place underrepresented students on the pathway to success in the workforce and in entrepreneurial careers—with a focus on urban health, economic vitality and environmental sustainability. Recent work includes introducing aquaponics programming to Philadelphia public school students to help spark student interest in STEM subjects.

Dr. Bracey was also recently elected to serve as president of Math Education Science Achievement, or MESA. The national consortium promotes and fosters diversity and broader inclusion of minority children in advanced programs in science, technology, engineering, and math disciplines
