Biography

Dr. Schwartz has over 30 years’ experience in business, science and engineering, spanning industry and academia, with passion for people development, business development and improvement, and continuous learning. She is an Associate Professor of Instruction and the Program Director for Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology program, College of Engineering.

Dr. Schwartz teaches upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering and intrapreneurship. She has also developed three courses as an author or co-author. As the Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology Program Director, Dr. Schwartz' responsibilities involve student support, various administrative reporting activities, ETAC ABET accreditation, curriculum development, and team leadership.

While Dr. Schwartz' current role involves only teaching & administrative responsibilities, in her previous R&D career she published nine papers in recognized scientific journals, one book review, and eighteen presentations at various conferences & invited lectures.
