Congratulations to Temple University College of Engineering students for their success at student competitions the weekend of April 10th - April 12th.

IEEE Region 2 student chapters, from seven states and the District of Columbia, participated in the Student Activities Conference, held at Ohio State University. This conference serves as an opportunity for students to participate in a variety of activities and competitions, network with each other, and hear from leaders in the field. Nine Temple College of Engineering students attended the conference. We are pleased to announce that Tal Singer, Andrew Powell and Dmitri Tserkovnyuk placed 2nd in the Sumo Robot Competition. Furthermore, Claire Durand and Dana Joaquin placed 3rd in the Ethics Competition.

Additionally, Abby Sydnes, James Novino and Jake Holohan won the Excellence in Design award for their robotic micromouse at the Fourth Annual Brown University Robotics Olympiad on April 11th. The students, who work in Dr. John Helferty's Student Space Exploration and Embedded Systems Laboratory, design and built an autonomous micro mouse that can navigate through a maze.
