Dean in his office

To the Temple Engineering community,

As we prepare to welcome the newest class of Temple students this fall, I wanted to reiterate the university's recent message about keeping our communities safe. Whether you are a current student, faculty, staff, alumni or friend of the college, please refer to the latest university guidance when coming to campus.

While there is much to look forward to, as all of us seek to nurture this fragile return to a robust on-campus experience, the pandemic is still present. However, this should also ground us in the importance of engineering. The rigorous pursuit of creating a cleaner, safer & more equitable world is at the heart of our discipline.

Our community has continued this important work throughout the last 18 months, often in the face of tremendous pressure. Whether joining the larger campus community in supporting Temple Hospitaloffering expertise on vaccine distributionsharing virtual lessons with high school students or making an impact in Philadelphia communities, Temple Engineering students, faculty and staff have embodied the highest and best examples of the Temple motto: perseverance conquers.

Now, turning your attention to the fall, also remember where we all have been. Find your fellow problem solvers. Seek out help if you need it. Take care of each other.

Welcome to Temple and this new academic year. Let's get to work!
