Welcome to the spring semester at Temple College of Engineering. Whether this is your first semester or you are preparing for graduation, we are excited to encourage and celebrate your success.

In December, graduates heard stories of resilience and tenacity, before stepping into a world that desperately needs engineers to not just identify problems, but solve them. They, and you, embody the university motto: perseverance conquers. I am looking forward to honoring the class of 2020 in May.

The College of Engineering is excited to support your studies this semester through events like the spring Career Fair on February 6, where dozens of companies will be available to discuss internships and open positions. I urge you to utilize resources like the Career Fair Prep session on January 29, to get a head start on everything from professional attire to follow-up discussions with potential employers after the fair, as well as the Interview Prep workshop on February 12.

Our physical spaces continue to evolve, including the transformation of the second floor IDEAS Hub. We expect students to continue making the best use of these spaces as new devices and areas are built-out, ahead of an official grand opening event during Engineers Week in February.

As we progress through this semester, never hesitate to reach out to the advising center, faculty or fellow students for help, or ways to reach your fullest potential. We can't wait to see what you do.
