Dr. Yu is an assistant professor (research) in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Temple University. Prior to joining Temple University as a faculty member, Dr. Yu was a NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at University of New Brunswick (2012-2013) and Temple University (2013-2014). She received doctoral degree in environmental systems engineering from the University of Regina (2010). Her research focuses on toxicity and estrogenicity of emerging contaminants, fate and transport of persistent organic pollutants in environment, molecular characterization the microbial community composition. Dr. Yu has published 30 peer-reviewed journal papers.
