Bio

Joe Danowsky is the Coordinator of Technical Communication course sections for the College of Engineering. He developed the course and is the lead author-editor of its course writing guide, Introduction to Design Document Writing. Prior to teaching at Temple University, he was a senior technical writer-editor, standards-procedures analyst, software test designer, technical journalist, legal-accounting newsletter editor-in-chief, indexing system specialist, workshop developer-presenter, and freelance consultant (book editor, informational graphics designer, and procedure designer). Industry employers included American Lawyer Media, Aspen Systems Corporation, Burroughs Corporation, Colonial Penn Group Data Corporation, McGraw-Hill Datapro Research, Planning Research Corporation (Information Sciences Company), Rabbit Software, and Tangram Enterprise Solutions. Since 2002 he has been an active member of the volunteer editorial board for the Safe Medicine newsletter, published by the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.
