Temple University's College of Engineering is seeking to increase the size of its faculty by nearly 20 percent.

 

The College of Engineering is one of the fastest growing colleges/schools at Temple University. Due to its growing student population and expanding research activities, the college is conducting faculty searches across its four academic departments: Bioengineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. For this current academic year, the college welcomed five new faculty members. It is seeking to hire seven additional faculty members, at all levels.

College Highlights

Since Fall 2006, the college created over 15,000 ft2 of teaching and research labs. In January 2013, the college added an additional 25,000 ft2 of new space for a new department and growth in other programs.From Fall 2007 to Fall 2012, Ph.D. enrollment increased by more than 200%.From FY 2008 to FY 20013, research expenditure increased by 97%.Since Fall 2009, total college enrollment has increase 45%.
