Undergraduate and graduate student procedures for applying for graduation

Undergraduate Students

To be eligible for graduation, an engineering student must schedule a graduation review and apply for graduation.

Schedule a Graduation Review

When an engineering student has completed 75 or more credits, he/she must schedule a graduation review with a College of Engineering advisor to make sure that he/she has fulfilled all necessary requirements in order to graduate in a timely manner.

Apply for Graduation (by October 28th)

Students can apply for graduation using Self Service Banner (SSB). To access the application, go to TUportal and select Self Service Banner. When in SSB, select Student » Student Records » Apply to Graduate. Students should pay close attention to the expected graduation date and the way the major(s) and minor(s) are listed on the application. If there are any inaccuracies students should contact an advisor in the College of Engineering's Office of Undergraduate Studies to have this information corrected. Please note certificate programs require a separate application.

Graduate Students

Apply for Graduation (by October 28th)

The graduation application is available using SSB. To access the application, go to TUportal and select Self Service Banner. When in SSB, select Student » Student Records » Apply to Graduate. Graduate students must also complete a Plan of Study and submit the signed plan to the Graduate Studies Office. Students should also refer to the Graduate School's calendar for dates regarding thesis and dissertation submission.
