International Applicant Requirements

International Applicants

Temple University is a global university and international students have access to a first-rate education and cutting-edge research opportunities at the College of Engineering.

International Applicant Requirements

In addition to the standard application requirements, international applicants must submit the following credentials:

1.  Transcripts/marksheets and degree certificates or diplomas in their original language as well as literal translations of these academic documents by an appropriate university or government official.  WE WILL ACCEPT PHOTOCOPIES OF TRANSCRIPTS FOR THE ADMISSIONS REVIEW PROCESS.  However, if an applicant is accepted to our program and chooses to attend, he/she must submit original transcripts/marksheets prior to matriculation.

NOTE:  We encourage applicants who have attended international post-secondary institutions to have their credentials evaluated by a NACES-accredited agency and submit a course-by-course evaluation to our office.   While it is not mandatory that applicants provide their own evaluation, it will expedite the admissions review process if they choose to do so.   If applicants do not submit an evaluation with their application materials, Temple University will provide its own internal evaluation.  Please note that this could delay the admissions process.

2.  TOEFL or the academic-version of the IELTS exam.  TOEFL scores must be submitted directly from the testing agency.   Students who have taken the IELTS can submit a photocopy of their score results.

3.  Applicants seeking an F-1 or J-1 visa must also submit:
